Thunder Bay Airport has 5 nm control zone which supercedes above. Must fly Visual-Line-of-Sight (VLOS). Register Drone and mark drone with registration number. Requirements Pass Basic Operations exam. (35 questions in 90 min - 65% pass) Have pilot license and drone registration when you fly. Cannot fly in Provincial Parks or National Parks. RPAS Advanced Operations Limitations Fly in controlled airspace. Fly no higher than 121m or 400 ft AGL. Fly no closer than 5 m horzontal distance from bystanders. Must apply in writing and receive approval before flying. RPAS must meet Transport Canada Safety Assurance rating. Must fly Visual-Line-of-Sight (VLOS). Register Drone and mark drone with registration number. Requirements Pass Advanced Operations exam. (50 questions in 60 min - 80% pass) Fly over bystanders but not at advertised event. Cannot fly in Provincial Parks or National Parks.
